Highly variable syndrome (sometimes called triplo-X) recognized by the abnormal presence of three X chromosomes with a normal amount of autosomes. The individuals are female and may be unaware of their disorder. In some cases there is underdevelopment in language and motor skills. In extreme cases the individual may experience mental retardation.
