The American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG) shares a special connection with Genetic Alliance: Genetic Alliance founder Joan Weiss was also a founding member of ACMG. Now the organizations pair up for the Advocates Partnership Program, which sponsors advocate participation in ACMG’s annual meeting. The membership of ~1400 biochemical, clinical, cytogenetic, medical and molecular geneticists, genetic counselors, and other health care professionals committed to the practice of medical genetics last convened in Phoenix, AZ, March 12-16, 2007.
