Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia Research Education and Support (CARES) Foundation is a national organization focused on providing families and individuals affected by Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH) a centralized location for information and networking. Founded in 2001, CARES Foundation has grown into an international network of 2200 individuals and families and 500 health care professionals in 38 countries.
CARES offers a wide variety of programs and services free of charge to affected individuals and their families, including local support groups, financial assistance for travel, tri-annual newsletters, and referral services. CARES also provides grants to qualifying researchers to facilitate better treatment, better understanding of the disease, and discovery of a cure. The Foundation is currently involved with initiatives involving CAH comprehensive care centers and newborn screening in Canada.
