Background

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention established the National Office of Public Health Genomics in 1997 to integrate genomics into public health research, policy, and programs. To that end - among many other projects - they publish Genomics and Health Weekly Update a weekly summary of all that's going on in the worlds of genomics and health. You can find them in Atlanta, GA, and they recently celebrated 10 Years of Public Health Genomics: Translating Gene Discoveries into Population Health Benefits.
