The Genetic Science Learning Center is part of the University of Utah, in Salt Lake City. Their staff of 10 is focused on developing educational materials on basic genetics, molecular genetics, newborn screening, and family health history. In 2007, their Learn.Genetics website (http://learn.genetics.utah.edu) received over 7.1 million visits from 175 countries. Over 600 teachers of grades 4-16 participate in professional development programs each year. Their email list includes over 30,000 educators world-wide. It is considered their most successful publication and dissemination mechanism.
