Iona College was founded by the order of the Christian Brothers to educate young men, often the first in their families to attend college, in the Catholic higher education tradition. Over the years, it has grown in enrollment from a small to mid-size co-educational institution. Since inception there have been many accomplishments resulting in Iona's campus expansion, increased enrollment, and increased recognition based on the increase in accredited programs and high rank in college reviews. Iona College is a diverse community of learners and scholars dedicated to academic excellence. They are committed to education, intellectural inquiry and the values of justice, peace and service.
