[edit] Background

The Coalition for Genetic Fairness was founded in 2000 to address the growing concern surrounding the misuse of genetic information in insurance and employment decisions.

The Coalition’s membership is composed of stakeholders from every sector of society including health organizations, industry, researchers, labor unions, academia, patient groups, and others. For close to a decade, the Coalition has been the leading national voice in the fight for the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act.
