[edit] Profile
I am a third year student majoring in sociology at Grinnell College in Iowa. Although public and international affairs is not my major, I'm considering to pursue a graduate degree in this area. Since I came to the United States two and half years ago, I've tried to learn a couple of new things, such as swing dance, guitar, and singing. Swing dance is getting much better recently, but when I went to DC, I realized that I might be a good dancer in Grinnell, a small town in Iowa, but not in a real city like DC. It was bit disappointing, but I guess this means I have a lot of room to improve. My guitar talent has not fully developed yet, but now I can read music notes and can play "F" chord. I don't think I will ever be a good singer, but I'll keep doing it since I like experiment and I like to be able to sing well. I'm currently writing an essay for a summer traveling scholarship. I'm not sure whether I can get it, but I'm hoping to travel around the United States and meet a lot of people, swing dance around the states, playing guitar on the streets, and "couch surfing" around.
